Kaban ni D_BystandeR: NAGNUKOSNUKOS SI PELAGIO???

It now appears Deputy Ombudsman Pelagio Apostol of the office of the Ombudsman-Visayas is relegated to pursue its mandated function to check on complaints about some questionable information shown in the SALN of PJ Garcia in a passive manner claiming he does not want his office to be drawn into the political squabble between two contending political parties. To make it difficult for the complainant Roberto Letaba to see any favorable action from his office, he demands proof or evidence to support the complaint for a lifestyle check on PJ. The supporting documents which Letaba attached to his complaint filed with the office of the Ombudsman-Visayas are: a) copy of PJ's letter to Sec.-Gen. Marilyn Yap of the House of Representatives instructing the latter not to release to anybody a copy of his (PJ's) SALN without his approval; b) copy of SALN for 2010 and 2011showing the big discrepancy between P900 thousand - the acquisition cost of the house purchased in 2008 and the big and staggering amount of P10.4 million as his declared value in SALN of 2011. If it does not pose any kind of irregularity to the good Ombudsman Apostol, I don't know what is. 

The people expect the Ombudsman-Visayas to maintain that "Image" that is reflective of what it is: "A Beacon of hope" to provide the answer for some lingering questions about questionable transactions which ordinary minds could not possibly comprehend or consider as ordinary and aboveboard.
