Kaban ni D_Bystander: UTANG KABUBUT-ON?

Senator Gregorio "GRINGO" Honasan

Right after the 1st EDSA REVOLUTION, I have seen the face of this young man, Gringo Honasan, and I was thinking with his good looks and excellent record in the PMA he will one day become one of our great national leaders. 

But slowly the news accounts that followed his footprints pointed to a man with intriguing priorities. He was involved leading a series of "coups" during the time of Cory. He was again briefly involved in a coup during GMA's time but was able to "iron it out" and came out "unscathed." From the early start of this impeachment trial he has been issuing press releases cautioning P-Noy "to slow down" on Corona as according to his own "assessment" it will drive away foreign investors from our country. 

It might be unknown to him or that in a subconscious belief he does not consider that such kind of pronouncement would tend to favor the "stinking" CJ Corona in the process. His statement claiming the "hypocrites are meddling in the impeachment trial" thereby influencing the people's mind to think adversely against Corona is the height of hypocrisy that he can poorly think of. 

If Corona has done a favor to him or to somebody close to him and he wants to repay him by talking nice about him and to use his influence being a senator, this is what I can tell him as a piece of unsolicited advice: Please, Honasan, be man enough to resign from your senate post. If that is how you behave you have no business staying a minute in your seat. 

You do not deserve the people's trust and confidence which they expect from you when they cast their votes for you to serve them in congress.
