Kaban ni D_BystandeR: ANG PANAGBULAG SA MANAGHIGALA

I can understand why "Sir Bob" is again playing the propaganda issue of Gov. Gwen as hitting "two birds with one stone." By promoting the tourist destinations in Cebu province and with her directly seen as doing the promotion herself, she is in effect promoting her senatorial bid for next year's elections. But the "sad part" there is that the advertising "extravaganza" campaign inked with a national media entity left the local counterparts "salivating" of which "Sir Bob" is by profession identified with is "crying foul." I remember not too long ago about how Bobby disclosed in his column how pricey the advertising contract can be and how it will affect "to drain" the Cebu provincial coffers if the concerned government "watch dogs" are not vigilant. 

Now that Gov. Gwen is making adverse remarks over Vice Magpale's preference to join Davide's gubernatorial run,  that "the line has been drawn," can we expect a little "raising of the eyebrows" as the provincial board will try to scrutinize the said advertising expenditures? With the expected independence of the PB to exercise its role in keeping with its diligent and meticulous scrutiny over the said expenditure, maybe the approval of anything proposed by Gov. Gwen will pass through the proverbial "eye of the needle" before any approval is made and probably not as easy as it "used to be."
