The tenor of this editorial is full of "hidden" meaning which is not a healthy sign, instead of showing a gleeful reaction, inasmuch as the President has chosen the new Chief Justice following the "short list." While it kept within itself its "tumultuous" feeling of displeasure it is highly understandable from its play of words that its preference would rather be among those in the "seniority." It unashamedly compared President Noynoy's choice as nothing better than what that "little girl" GMA did when she chose the "deposed" Corona over the others. The editorial failed to be substantially fair to the appointing power considering the difference of circumstances, which is "world" apart, involving the two "protagonists." While Corona was GMA's man right from the very beginning even before she became President "the short-cut" way, Sereno was never intimately assigned to Noynoy's office even during the time when he was still a senator, before the "assignment." 

In the past, there were many times where this Sunstar editorial showed its "concealed" ill-feeling towards the P-Noy administration and this would not befuddle us considering the "nine year period" GMA occupied her office and enjoyed her time using her "master stroke" in "taming down to its knees" those people occupying "sensitive positions" to get what she wants "to the fullest."
