Kaban ni D_BystandeR: ANG PANGABUSO

We cannot imagine the inhuman impact of this company - A. Brown Company - which took control of 520 hectares of land owned and cultivated by the natives in Barangays Bagocboc and Tingalan, in the town of Opol, Misamis Oriental. As gleaned from the reports of harassment done by strafing the helpless and unarmed natives or by torching their house dwellings as documented by concerned support groups and the Church who sympathized with the horrible plight of the "lumads." The inhuman acts perpetrated by this company is being done through company hired security guards and in some instances with the assistance of NBI personnel and with the connivance of some LGU officials who supplied the company's manpower requirements. The natives are now in disarray due to the unlawful intrusion of this company who tries to make money at the expense of the natives who had been tilling their land since time immemorial. Government officials in the area as well as political leaders should do everything within their sphere of influence to help the natives regain their foothold on their land to afford them livelihood to feed their families or they will all perish in hunger at the hands of this abusive company. The officials concerned should not allow themselves to become helpless like "useless statues" because of the "glare of money" of this company. 

This case fits the example that we, comprising the poor people of this country, are slowly being edged out and turning us to become the abject slaves in our very own country at the hands of the rich foreign business giants.

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCANO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig.
