Kaban ni D_BystandeR: PASIDUNGOG ALANG NI PEDRO CALUNGSOD

Note: Earlier, I posted a comment in PDI after reading the news item but someone made a reply saying that Pedro Calungsod was killed by the natives together with the others which included a priest because Calungsod was with a group of "land grabbers." I made my answer to that and then another one using his pen name "tonyoks" joined the fray and acted as his "spokesman," mentioning some information allegedly taken from history to bolster that the group of Calungsod was part of the "trend" at the time like Spain in search for more colonies to subjugate. And below is my reply:

This is no time for us to argue on history but rather the relevant question of the hour is: Is it appropriate for someone to talk about something that tends to diminish the solemnity of the hour to do something to contribute for the successful canonization of Pedro Calungsod who as a young Cebuano lad in the 1770's went out of his way to join a religious group without thinking about his own personal safety in a foreign land just to be able to help propagate Christianity in the other side of the world where ignorance and savagery reign supreme? 

We can talk here the whole day about who is more knowledgeable in world history but for the sake of this "once in a lifetime solemn occasion," we have to do away with one's pride to show and boast to the world that he knows more about world history for we can surely devote another forum for that. But this time we have to be mindful of how important it is for us to rejoice and, consequently, be a part of the Christian world celebrating this solemn occasion for the sainthood of Pedro Calungsod! 

(Bug-os ang  pasalamat sa KAHAYAG ngadto sa nagsulat niining  paambit   nga si JOHNNY LOVE. Nagtakuban siya sa pangalan, "D_BystandeR".  Natawo siya sa Sugbo apan anaa na karon manimuyo sa Illinois sa tinipong nasod sa Amerika. Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCANO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig. Niadtong tunga-tungang bahin sa tuig 2000, nilalin siya ngadto sa tinipong nasod sa Amerika ug sulod sa napulo (10) ka tuig, nagtrabaho siya sa  buhatan sa kagamhanan sa nasod sama  sa  UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS).  Karon sa pangedaron nga 67,  gihuptan gihapon niya ang walay pagkutat nga kadasig ug walay busganan nga kaikag sa pagpaambit sa iyang nahuptang abilidad  ug kabatid sa panulat.  Dili niya mapugngan ang kaugalingon sa pagpaambit sa iyang mga hunahuna labi na kon molambigit kini ug hisgotanan nga makadani sa iyang mga mata.)
