I know Bong is a talented writer and he knows where the strokes of his pen are headed to whenever he writes one. 

What he is trying to build up is the "underdog" image of the suspended governor Gwen by trying to lessen the impact of her arrogance and callousness to hold on to power come what may. He did not mention the commonly used phrase of, "Over my body," which the suspended governor mockingly issued to show her defiance to "higher authorities" because that will, in effect, diminish his objective of building up an "underdog" image of Gwen, which according to Bong, will consequently result to becoming a valid cause or a "rallying point" to propel her supporters to become more focused and aggressive in their future political campaigns in the countrysides. Bong is an objective writer whose opinion on some burning issues of the day I mostly admired and respected (especially those not touching about the "role" of the Garcias). But sometimes, one's objectivity in writing independent opinions can be "influenced" and can raise the eyebrows of his "fans and admirers" when they find out their expectation turns out to be a "dud." When they notice the writer is now singing a different "tune," instead of singing "alleluia" to celebrate the expected "downfall" of the "villain," he is now making a "misinterpretation" of the circumstances to make the "villain" assume another character of what he calls the "underdog." Even the veteran editor of Sunstar, Cheking, is calling it, "A power grab." And even my favorite, "Sir Bob," a consistent critic of the erstwhile Gov. Gwen appears to have "soften up" his stance by citing that the suspended governor has also done "some meritorious" accomplishments in the past. 

And all these things are coming up just because "the Sunstar network" is owned by the Garcia clans.
