Kaban ni D_BystandeR: NAHISALAAG BA SI PADS OSCAR BANZON???

It is seldom hard to find a man of God who has established a name of his own carved in a solid rock of faith and who earns the respect of all people, including politicians in high places, and who despite his advanced age,  still excel in maintaining his open mind full of remarkable wisdom and understanding in the way he appreciates the different idiosyncrasies of human beings. His own confirmation detailing his personal knowledge about Fr. Oscar Banzon even during the time when he was still the Cebu Archbishop where he had frequent occasions talking with the priest only further explains the exemplary mold and character of Cardinal Emeritus Vidal. He did not hide his personal concerns over what happened to Fr. Banzon where he was suspended from doing his priestly duties from the time it was learned that he filed his certificate of candidacy for the position of a barangay captain in barangay Kawit, Medellin, Cebu and that despite him garnering victory in his desired post his suspension is still there.

The Cardinal's personal feeling expressing pity to what happened to the priest is very touching and only reinforced the people's belief that the good Cardinal Emeritus is somebody where nobody can match him in the way he treats "the members of his flock," whether you are what they call, "a sinner or saint."
