"There
is no such thing improper for the good of the country." What is improper
is you have not done anything except - talking and talking.
D_BystandeR:
I
agree to your proposition that there is nothing improper when it comes to
something good done for the country. And comparing "the issue of
impropriety" against the backdrop of the personality of Corona who was
totally unmasked at the impeachment trial, it goes without saying that the end
result was a justification to the saying that no matter what, "the end justifies
the means." And it was emphatically defended by Coloma, saying that it was
not purely to be judged in the ambit of the legal definition as Senator Bong
Revilla was having a dual personality as a public servant being an elected
official and his being considered as a "Senator-Judge" explaining his
role.
Footnote:
Comments cropped up when news about lawyer Ma. Soledad Mawis, Dean of the
Lyceum University of the Philippines College of Law, said Aquino should have
not met with Revilla since the latter was acting as a judge in the impeachment
trial of ousted CJ Corona, and that said meeting at the height of the Corona
impeachment trial had a "sense of impropriety."
