Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MAKAPATUBOD SA LAWAY ANG PROYEKTO SA SRP
This
project to be set-up for the elderly based in Japan that is expected to
generate P32B in 25 years is already an attraction to Cebuanos who must be
salivating at the prospect of earning that big. But our city lawmakers should be
guided on what is more beneficial to the city. The prospect of making it a hub
for the elderly is good as it will also project more benefits to improving the
quality of life for our people and also
to improving our economic landscape considering that more of our city folks
qualified to work as caregivers do not need to go far away to other countries
to earn more to improve their family income.
And
besides, 1.2 hectare is only a small portion of the total area involved in SRP
and to grab the opportunity at hand before the stakeholder decides to look for
any better offer elsewhere is the most important thing to consider. The old
saying still hold true: "A bird in your hand is better than two birds in
the bush." In Cebuano, "Ang usa ka buok langgam nga imo nang
gigunitan sa imong kamot mas maayo ikompararar sa duha ka buok langgam nga
dakponon pa tua sa kakugnan." Let us be practical.
