Kaban ni D_BystandeR: IRO KASALIGAN, BISAN PA'G AGALON ITUNOD NA SA KATAPUSANG PAHULAYANAN
I wonder how behind are we when talking about bringing of dogs
inside the church to hear mass. In the States, I remember about a couple of
years ago, about the story of a dog who continued going inside the church even
when his "master" - an old lady
who just recently died of old age - was not there anymore. But we are talking
here about "trained" dogs who behaved inside the church more than
what we sometimes witness with some kids who are playing even while inside the
church and the "faithfuls" are
in deep silence in their prayers. And it was reported that even when the hearse
was slowly moving towards the cemetery, the "loyal and pious" dog
still managed to go with the group of people towards his master's resting
place. But nobody shooed the dog away because
the dog seemed to be already a regular fixture in the church and everybody, even the parish priest, tolerated it and
respected the dog's presence because that dog was trained to be "people
friendly."
