The series of deaths of patients in
the district hospitals, run and operated by the provincial government, where
most of them involved young children according to news reports that points out
to physician's neglect, inefficiency and medical malpractice, have only
positively energized the most notable critic former Gov. Gwen who suggested
that it could not be caused by political detractors as claimed by Gov. Davide
as the reason for their deaths speaks for itself. It could be remembered that I
have, in several instances in the past, tried to make some unsavory comments
with how she ran her administration but that has nothing to do with cases like
this, because it involves a controversy about the deaths of patients in
district hospitals. I find the points raised by Gwen as something that stirs
the conscience of some keen political observers to be reasonable and thought
provoking.
