ANG MGA DILI MAKADAWAT SA
MARTIAL LAW, DILI MAKADAWAT NGA SI DIGONG, PRESIDENTE NA???
With the filing of
rebellion charges against Maute and Abu Sayyaf bandits who now call themselves
Dawlah Islamiya, it is clear that not just terrorist acts seized Marawi City
but acts of rebellion as well which legally bolsters the declaration of Martial
Law.
The cacophony of voices
expressing disenchantment over the swift response of government to quell the
terrorist acts of Maute in Marawi City, by way of declaring Martial Law, must
realize that we are talking here of rebellion perpetrated by the elements of
Dawlah Islamiya.
It's high time to quit
politicizing the war in Marawi by branding it as prelude to allowing Digong to
perpetuate himself in power as a tyrant. Pangilinan and other opponents of the
declaration of Martial Law must not only see the trees but the forest itself.
The hands of Maute are in
control of Marawi City, financially and politically. The stash of money amounting to millions of pesos kept in an abandoned house showed glaring indication of a determined opponent. No doubt, the politicians who lord it over the hapless residents either did not do
anything to stop it by reporting to authorities about any plan to disintegrate
Marawi City from the Philippine territory prior to the actual seize or abandoned the thought of cooperating with the government thinking of reaping huge gains by taking side with the terrorists
turned rebels, if they could succeed.
For the people of Marawi and
all minded others who closely monitor the goings on in Mindanao, not just bits
of intelligence are needed to comprehend the true motive of the opponents of
Martial Law declaration of Digong. It requires a much better view of considering it as cheap obstructionism. They are the same people who cannot accept the truth. That
Digong, a probinsyano, is now the President.
