NALUTSAN ANG PINAS UG
DILI INGON NATO???
In military parlance, the
one who holds the best intelligence information gets the upper hand over the
hostile force.
Indonesia's revelation
that 1,200 IS operatives are now in the
Philippines is unnerving. However, the AFP
has taken this information with a grain
of salt considering that officially it acknowledges only 250-400. Is this not
indication that we have a shortage of
accurate intelligence information?
The brewing war in Marawi
where children are reportedly utilized by Maute as combatants, no report ever
reached the AFP prior to the Marawi
seige that children as young as 10 years
old or older are recruited and trained
to kill by Maute. The presence of foreign fighters who joined the war in Marawi
has become a common occurrence based on the reported kills.
Whatever it is, the
dismal failure of the AFP to come up with more accurate information is a setback. It behooves upon the
government to provide the public assurance more than words
can say. That is, genuine public service
not lip service.
