Kaban ni D_BystandeR: LANTUGI DILI HAUM NGA KAPASIKARAN SA PANERBISYO
There are only few columnists in Cebu
whom I truly admire and acknowledge to have developed their writing skill and
analytical acumen that clearly separate them from those we consider as poor,
struggling and funny. I consider these two columnists as among the few - Atty.
JBJ (Josephus B. Jimenez) and Jerry S. Tundag - as my two favorite Cebuano
columnists because they can illustrate and support with highly sensible and
convincing arguments the kind of logic they present that exudes clarity to
advance a given set of commendable conclusion. These are the people we need to
crystallize any subject matter or issue with paramount importance because they
are able to clearly dissect an issue thus making it quite simply for ordinary
minds to comprehend. In the first presidential debate held in Cagayan de Oro,
some people with visible political leanings, try to put their political idol
ahead of the other as the one who has successfully given his intended program
of a political platform when, in fact and in truth, as explained by columnist
Jerry, the questions propounded to presidential bets were inadequate and could
not be accepted as a credible means to determine who among them was able to
express himself to successfully answer to improve the people's poor living
conditions in our country. In his observation, most of the questions propounded
were not able to successfully expound on their definitive stand but only to
give their views based on motherhood statements which are vague and unreliable.
