Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MIBIYAHE NA SI NAP G. RAMA
This could yet be considered as the
greatest "Obra Maestra" that Atty. JBJ has successfully penned to
date. I always consider his views as that coming from the most respected
columnist we ever have in our country today, since the time of Napoleon
"Nap" G. Rama (he just died early this month at the age of 92), of
The Philippines Free Press before martial law. His words or terminology used
are easy to understand and you don't have to look for a dictionary to find the
meaning of some words he used - all are plainly understandable to everybody. And
to make his point drives home to the average reader, he uses the popular, easy
to understand, "tagalog" words, like "manhid" and
"malasakit." Alas, I am bound to say, without fear of contradiction,
that we are gifted to have this man in our midst to analyze and clearly dissect
the burning issue of the day.

comment came out in connection with an article written by Atty. Josephus B.
Jimenez for The FREEMAN, entitled, "A government without
"malasakit" nor mercy and compassion." It came out on January
31, 2016.
