Kaban ni D_BystandeR: DUGUONG KATAPOSAN SA MABULUKONG PANGLABAN NI NOEL ARCHIVAL
In
any case where a death of a person is considered "brutal and untimely,"
we can always ask ourselves how senseless man can sometimes be to his fellow human being. What
is most hurting to note is that the death of Atty. Noel Archival has suddenly
left his six innocent children a deep void formed by a chasm that denied a
fatherly love to be rendered for his children's welfare forever.
Lawyer
Noel Archival may be known by some in his other background
but from my own recollection, I always associate him as the guy who loves to
handle cases where nobody would care to touch it with a proverbial "ten-foot
pole." He was, as portrayed by Bong W. now, a man of courage and with a daredevil
attitude of "I don't care, as long as I know how to handle it." And
to think that the case he handled in Dumaguete City was as a defense counsel of
a suspected member of a "Kuratong Baleleng" group accused of
participation in a botched P5M robbery of a pawnshop there is not an ordinary
case.
I just hope the siblings of Atty. Archival
will make good of their plan to see to it that his children's future will be
taken cared of until such time when they can already stand on their own.
Meanwhile, Vice Governor Magpale's motherly concern to provide the victim's family
with police protection by assigning a police officer to the place where the wake is held and observed is
highly worthy of our thanks and commendation.
