I am not surprised why you like to be on the side of those who earn the ire of the public. When HPG suspects case was the talk of the town or became a "hot topic," I remember you were there defending their side which drove some curious people to comment that you probably have a business interest with those guys, or that you were employed in any position  like anybody and that includes even the position of a janitor.

And now in the case of CPCMH involved in the taping of a baby's mouth, on their early stage of life when they are supposed to be handled with utmost care, there you are and you mentioned it operated since 1922. It doesn't matter if it started more thana hundred years ago, what is of primary importance now is the behavior of the people who run the CPCMH as Administrator, who seems not to be in touch with reality.

And what is revolting to think is that they are condoning on something which the other pediatricians consider as not appropriate to be given to a newborn baby like a pacifier. For God's sake! we all want CPCMH to stay as it was during the time of the late Dr. Fran,  the good and dynamic director of the old Cebu Maternity House that I know of, and he was my good friend because we happened to be jogging at the same time early in the morning in the racetrack of Abellana National School way back in mid 1970s. If there's anything we can do, is to ask for a change in the guidelines and direction of the present CPCMH administration that it should be pro-people. They cannot afford to be advocating a hostile and inhuman treatment to newborn babies for the people will drive them out of business if that is what they are doing and they don't want to change its direction.

Footnote: This comment came out in connection with Super Bob'svcolumn entitled, "Shattered image." But this comment most particularly deals with a comment posted by one who carried a name, "Herald," for his views seem to offend our sensibilities and is considered purely made in bad taste. It is not known if he was justvexpressing weird comments for the sake of making himself "popular" in the sense that people who read his views will not forget him because they surely dislike his "indifference" and unconcerned views.
