I cannot understand how this Cynthia
Genosolango, PHO chief, could be considered
as deserving of her position as chief of the Provincial Hospital Office when
she was quoted to have said that a baby who was delivered outside of the hospital cannot be allowed to
use incubator for infant as a measure of
saving the infant's life considering what had transpired earlier that the baby fell from the mother's womb and
was in critical condition. The PHO chief seemed to condone the malpractice of
the hospital attendants and nurses in Bantayan who clearly did not do anything
possible under their care to save the life of the baby who later on died.
Capitol authorities under Governor Davide should try to clarify what
Genosolango declared as it is clearly
violative of the hospital's mandate to save a life under its care. Or are the hospital
personnel in Bantayan so inept that they do not know how to handle their jobs
in the hospital to save precious lives?
