Kaban ni D_BystandeR: GUBOT PAS LUKOT ANG POLITIKA SA TALISAY???
If there are rumors going
on trying to shore-up Talisay City's Vice Mayor Romeo Villarante's chances as getting the support of Gov. Jun Davide who is
the Liberal Party chairman in Cebu, it
is a misplaced priority and a move in the wrong direction.
Why will the Liberal Party
support the Vice Mayor when he is the
one trying to block and make a mess in Mayor JVR's administration instead of
supporting him considering that they
belong to one and the same political party? There might be some other reasons
considered to influence the LP's support
to VM Villarante but to me this is a
misplaced choice because it is Mayor JVR who is in the forefront of the much
needed changes for attaining sustained progress of Talisay City.
The Mayor's move to build a
modern public market for Talisay City seems not to get the interest and encouraging
support from the VM probably due to political reasons. Any success in the part
of MayorJVR will be met with disdain by VM Villarante because he is eyeing for
the mayor's post in the next election of 2016.
Mayor JVR's position is not
as easy as anybody would think it is. Just consider that most of the people
working there are appointees of the former Congressman Eddiegul and former
Mayor Brad Soc. And the majority of the city council members is not Mayor JVR's
teammates. Even if some of them belong to his political party but their allegiance
is doubtful as they seem to be working for the other side out to derail
whatever good plans Mayor JVR is doing for the good of Talisay City. And come
to think of it, Vice Mayor Romeo Villarante is calling for Mayor JVR to get rid
of his relatives working in the city hall. Wait a minute...
Did it occur to VM
Villarante to first look at himself in the mirror to know who he is to make such
demand to the Mayor? The problem with some people is that they cannot think of
anything good for their country but only for themselves. And I heard VM
Villarante is making it aloud his political ambition to run for Mayor in 2016.?
