We can never tell  what is  waiting for every boxer everytime he steps in the ring  to cast his fate in  the battle of boxing greats. This time, our "Filipino Flash" suffered the bitter taste of defeat.

In his entire career,  Nonito Donaire Jr.  has seen ring losses  but this time his courage and sheer determination will be stretched to the limits.  His impressive  boxing record before his fight with Guillermo Rigondeaux  bestowed  him  the title as "Fighter of the Year" by the Ring Magazine.  All's well  that ends well  as  he emerged thankful that his fight ended up without any serious injury.

This is not the end of everything. Neither can we consider  this  latest development of  Nonito's boxing career as a black eye. Let him shine again. A few months from now, let a new Nonito rise again from  the ashes like a bird Phoenix to state for the records that a Filipino boxer worth his salt is not about ready to fade away but  only  needs to reinvigorate to fight again another day.
