Kaban ni D_BystandeR: CEBUANA BIKTIMA SA MABANGIS NGA KRIMEN

This is the saddest thing to befall to our "kabayan" who probably died of a horrible death at the hands of her attacker in a far away land as an OFW who tries to improve their family income to  sustain a family way back home in Cebu. What strikes me as a strange coincidence is that it happened while her husband was  on vacation to our country in the Philippines. But we can never tell if the suspect was planning to do it at a time when the victim was most vulnerable to an attack without the company of her  husband who was not with her at the time of the incident. I just  hope the bereaved family will be able to muster enough courage to accept the fact that she is gone forever from their loving care. My sincere condolence goes to the family of the victim, Blesilda "Blessie" Gotingco.

Footnote: This comment came out in connection with a Sunstar headline, "Cebu native slain in  New Zealand." It was reported by the New Zealand Herald (NZH) that a 27-year-old man was charged with Blessie Gotingco's murder.
