Kaban ni D_BystandeR: PANAHOM SA NASUHONG NGA PAG-ILA SA KABANTOGAN NI NORA AUNOR
The
FREEMAN editorial seems to put the blame on the public for giving priority in airing
their loud clamor and vehemence to P-Noy
for not giving the honor as a national artist
to Nora Aunor instead of raising aloud their howl of protest against his
failure to act within the time frame of the 90-day-period the Constitution has given him to fill up a vacancy
in the Sandiganbayan. This would clearly go back to the less familiarity the public
has known with regards to the Sandiganbayan compared to Nora Aunor's case where
the later commands a considerable throng of energetic fans and avid supporters.
This would have given those in the media ample time to remind P-Noy of his
constitutional obligation within the 90-day-period rather than making a fuss
over it only after when Nora Aunor's fans and supporters have complained about P-Noy's
failure to honor her as a national artist.
