Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MIPALUYO SI MIKE SA KAWSA SA NAGPROTESTA

I commend the timely coverage provided by Leo Lastimosa in his column (in The FREEMAN) and it was like bringing his readers to a ringside update of what's going on in the latest protest staged by Piston and Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) with its group of widely animated and instantly assembled followers. Mayor Mike Rama's presence and his promise of the needed help is good news. We hope he will make good his promise by actively working  on its demands to fulfillment when he finally goes to Manila to follow-up his promised representation in the office of DOTC Sec. Joseph Abaya.

Footnote: This comment came out in connection with a column of Leo Lastimosa in The FREEMAN entitled, "Paghipos sa protesta." This protest rally was triggered by a new set of fines (penalties) set by DOTC to be implemented with a staggering fine of P1M to a colorum bus operator and P200T to an unregistered PUJ, as "leaders of the pack."
