Kaban ni D_BystandeR; KINSA SI MAITA GOMEZ???

The column of Bong Wenceslao in Sunstar discussing lengthily the heroic deeds of the erstwhile beauty queen Maita Gomez who preferred to live a life of a revolutionary woman in a "true to life" fashion is highly commendable. 

While others chose to live under the "glitter" of popularity in the society pages or in the entertainment world of "make believe" movies she was attracted to follow the tract record of our national heroes who live a life full of sacrifices just to illustrate  how great is the call of her inner self which is molded out of the hardest stuff of steel.

 It is not easy to be caught by the authorities in the mountains and to be subjected to the same harrowing experience again not only once but twice and still you find her fighting for - to fight against injustice and to proclaim to the world that man has lofty visions for the equality of men regardless of your status in life. 

Maita Gomez is now dead but the picture of her life showing her unflinching courage to fight in the name of promoting real justice for all will become her undying legacy to her countrymen.

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCANO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig. Niadtong tunga-tungang bahin sa tuig 2000, nilalin siya ngadto sa tinipong nasod sa Amerika ug sulod sa napulo (10) ka tuig, nagtrabaho siya sa  buhatan sa kagamhanan sa nasod sama  sa  UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS).  Karon sa pangedaron nga 67,  gihuptan gihapon niya ang walay pagkutat nga kadasig ug walay busganan nga kaikag sa pagpaambit sa iyang nahuptang abilidad  ug kabatid sa panulat.  Dili niya mapugngan ang kaugalingon sa pagpaambit sa iyang mga hunahuna labi na kon molambigit kini ug hisgotanan nga makadani sa iyang mga mata.)
