Kaban ni D_BystandeR: LUMULUPYO SA KALASANGAN, GIPATIRAN SA KASUNDALOHAN
These
people (Ata-Manobos tribes) are the original settlers in the area. And they are
asking the government to pull out the troops making encampment in the natives'
area and harassing them in their peaceful homes. What are these military doing there?
Are the soldiers sent there as advance party to make a clearing for the rich
mining companies who are out there to destroy the natives' land, their modest
means of livelihood. The mining company
is probably in search for more gold to satisfy their insatiable greed at the
expense of the poor natives who only want to cultivate their lands and live
there peacefully with their families. The government must do something to help these
natives. They are peace loving people and they deserve the kind of peace they
want to have in their place of abode.
Perhaps,
only the good and fearless Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte can do something to
help the natives considering that he is the only one who has the needed clout
in the government of P-Noy. Nobody can effectively help them in this case
except Mayor Duterte!

This comment came out in connection with a news headline in Sunstar, "NPA
asks Duterte to intervene in 'Talaugon'
militarization'." During the negotiation for the release of the captured
army soldier in Laak, Compostela Valley Province, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo
Duterte said the New People's Army (NPA) asked him to intervene on the alleged
militarization in Talaingod, Davao del Norte.
