ANG KASIKAS SA SAYO’NG PROKLAMASYON SA MGA SENADOR
ANG KASIKAS SA SAYO’NG
PROKLAMASYON SA MGA SENADOR
There is a lot of hullabaloo
in the early proclamation by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on the six
leading senators. Here and there, people got to hear comments coming from
politicians and the United Nationalist
Alliance's bigwigs branding the act as illegal and ego-tripping on the part of Chairman
Sixto Brillantes who, accordingly, moved heaven and earth just to ensure the
realization of his promise to do the proclamation of winners within five days after
elections as part of proving the
efficiency of PCOS machines. Others quipped by making unflattering remarks
hoping to see it through unfurling in broadsheets and radio
commentaries.
Amid all these unsavory remarks
tending to castrate COMELEC of its important tool, its credibility, the
people are not hoodwinked. We read between the lines. We take everything with a
grain of salt. All these cheap shots will
come to pass.
The call of the time is moving
on. Doomsayers have no place under the heat of the sun. Truly, while we welcome criticism and vigilance but all
these will have to face the acid test of calling a spade a spade.
