The residents should have filed an injunction case before the demolition occurred instead of taking the law into their own hands by blocking the police. They had a remedy in law yet they chose instead to also allow the law of the jungle to take place.

This is a new type of demolition executed by the city government of Talisay where no court order was presented to the residents who tried to block the demolition asking for a court order. A scuffle ensued but the affected residents were no match to the city government force supported by the police. I don't know where this will lead to because we are under a democratic country and we are supposed to be governed by the rule of law.
