Mike Rama should not begrudge the statement of former Senator Ramon Magtsaysay, Jr. who claimed Tommy O has the greater chance of being proclaimed the LP official bet for Cebu City. Rama chastised Magsaysay for issuing "irresponsible" statements believing he is the one more likely to become the official standard bearer in Cebu City on account of his regularity in paying his party dues and his regular attendance to party meetings held in Manila. But when pressed to comment if he will switch to another political party if not chosen, he was mum. Rama forgets what he did was a big slap to President Noynoy who was known to be very vocal and aggressive against CJ Corona at the height of the impeachment trial and was very excited when Corona was ousted from his post as a result of being convicted by the Impeachment Court. What did Rama say that completely stunned the independent observers when he was asked to comment on Corona's conviction? He said Corona's conviction was not justified. And such unexpected statement was considered a rebuff to President Noynoy and if only he was careful not to hurt the feelings of the President he should have been more circumspect in "opening his mouth" not to antagonize the President. 

It is considered an incoherent statement coming from someone who belongs to the same party and who should have "rejoiced" over Corona's conviction if only to show his line of thinking was the same as the one held by President Noynoy. His statement is a big insult to the President and Rama, if he thinks he valued Noynoy's support, should be the last man to antagonize him. He cannot blame anybody but himself if the LP official standard bearer for Cebu City will be declared in favor ot Tommy O.
