This thing could have
been avoided if the previous officials of NAPOCOR had the wisdom to view with
far-reaching effects the implication of their action to terminate the services
of 5,000 drivers and mechanics in 2003. Sometimes, it is the reckless decision
of those who were entrusted to guide the company to a successful journey that
ultimately compromised and put in peril the future of its existence like what
is happening now. By that time, nobody in GMA's administration had the
foresight to consider the implication of their unpardonable blunder because
they thought they were very powerful and feared no one. But this case could not
have happened if the SC was still under the ousted CJ Corona because he was
GMA's appointee and Corona cannot afford to displease his appointing power -
GMA.

So, gusto mo, appoint
natin uli si Corona sa SC at sipain natin sina MarvicLeonen at sira ulong
Sereno?

What I mean is that this
petition filed before the SC by the association of drivers and mechanics who
were terminated by the NAPOCOR management in 2003 could not have been acted
upon favorably if the ousted CJ Corona was still there. Corona did not show
anything that he can stand on his own when it comes to deciding a case that
pertains to GMA and her administration. The present SC under the
able leadership of CJ Sereno speaks of the kind of real justice that shows she
is not beholden to her appointing power - P-Noy -when there is a critical
moment for her to choose the high road of exercisingher lofty ideals to come up
with a kind of untainted JUSTICE.
