Kaban ni D_BystandeR: ANGAYANG IHATAG SA MGA BATAN-ON ANG KAHIGAYONAN SA PAGPADAGAN

I am tickled a bit reading Bong W.'s column about elderly Cuenco's undaunted eagerness to join the ranks of young politicians who vie for a congressional seat in the South District. Months ago I wrote an article that "elderly politicians" like Tony Cuenco should utilize the "remaining" months or years in their lives to act as "strategic" political advisers" to the young ones. I was "privy" to his political activities during the "uphill" climb of the opposition when Ninoy Aquino was still in prison and during the time Ninoy made a daring "comeback" from the "States where he met his untimely death in the hands of the "three Marcos soldiers" who personally made a daring act to escort Ninoy Aquino from inside the plane up to the "tarmac" where his death was immediately assigned to be the handiwork of a "fall guy" Rolando Galman. Tony Cuenco was riding high into the popularity of "Talyux Bacalso and Inday Nita Cortez Daluz."

I can still remember how "perfectly" he copied a "beautiful Cebuano poem about a flower" of Talyux and with his "stentorian" voice used it as his tape-recorded campaign "weapon" to win many elections. He was my "political idol" before but I could not "all-the-way" blindly follow his political career when I noticed he became a "political stooge" of that "litttle girl" GMA.
