Kaban ni D_BystandeR: NANGHILABOT ANG SIMBAHAN SA POLITIKA???
As a parting shot to the outgoing Gov. Gwen who got her early "X'mas gift" from the
Office of the President her suspension order for this Christmas season as a result of
her being "too unkind" to the late Vice Governor Greg Sanchez, Cebu Archbishop
Jose Palma's comment bewailing the "timing" of the suspension is totally uncalled for.
By taking a partisan side in favor of the suspended governor, Palma is, in effect,
condoning the highly outrageous kind of treatment the governor has done to the "most
maligned Cebu Vice Governor we ever had." He should have issued a "no comment"
for that as the most appropriate thing for him to do and also to preserve the "neutrality
and respectability" of the Church and the position he represents. And as a piece of
"unsolicited advice" for Daanbantayan Mayor Malou Loot, just because her projects
aimed to develop her hometown were revived by the Ex-Gov. Gwen earlier in exchange
of her pledge to support the candidacy of the governor's brother running for Cebu
governor, she better keep her mouth shut because just like what happened to the late
VG Sanchez she was also reported to have shed her "precious tears" at the hands of the
ex-governor because of her "uncontrolled temper."
If she is not careful, I don't know
what will happen to her projects as the incoming Gov. Magpale can exert her wide
influence over the "success or failure" of her projects.
