City fiscal Van Inopiquez is making news headline for dismissing a case, and as the report would imply, it would seem it's not the first time a similar case filed by a student against STC's Sister Pe is dismissed by the city fiscal's office. The reason is that "there was no evidence that Sister Pe closed the gate and ordered the guard to bar the student's entrance to attend the  graduation rites." The fact that a TRO was issued by Judge Wilfredo Navarro of RTC, Branch 19 allowing the students to join the graduation was not given any "legal importance" by the said prosecutor is mind-boggling and it would appear that he gave a "literal" interpretation by claiming  there was no evidence that Sister Pe closed the gate of the school to the student concerned. The fact that the student was not able to attend the graduation because the guard barred her from  entering the gate would undeniably point to the order the guard used as a basis, be it written or verbal, from a higher authority of the school and Sister Pe's position to give the said order to the guard is not difficult to connect and understand and is clearly manifested and proven by cause and effect. 

Sometimes when we remember the saying, "Hoodlums in robes" to denote the unholy alliance between the fiscal and the other party interested to the case we cannot help but shake our heads in disbelief when we come across news like this which seems to undermine and insult our common sense of dignity and puzzles our intelligence no end.
