Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MAY ABUSADONG KONTRAKTOR SA SBMA???

Based on the assumption that Glenn Defense Marine Asia (GDMA) is a private contractor from Malaysia and is operating within the Philippine jurisdiction, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has all the legal power to proceed against this irresponsible contractor for illegally dumping toxic materials to our environment while undertaking its work with the US Navy thereby putting in harm's way our environmental surroundings and endangering the lives of our people in the vicinity of the Subic Bay freeport. In their letter, the lawyers Kristoffer James Purisima and Bernard Joseph Malibiran, representing an influential law firm, it  intentionally omitted the mention of toxic materials and their discussion deals largely with the intricate  agreements between the two countries - the Philippines and the US - spelled in the VFA as if trying to "paint" the contractor's company as having assumed to possess the "shield" of being "invincible" to any charges just because it has an existing contract with the US Navy.

 SBMA Chairman Roberto Garcia should make good his threat to file the necessary charges in court if this private contractor insists in violating our laws for their own personal benefit disregarding the validity and sanctity of our laws in safeguarding and protecting our environmental prerogatives and sovereign rights.
