Kaban ni D_BystandeR: UNSA MAN ANG MAAYONG BUHATON ALANG SA MGA NANIMUYO SA MAHIGA???

Mayor Michael Rama, in an article appearing in Banat News, proudly proclaimed "a dozen" of his acknowledged personal characteristics. But I choose to take issue only with his No. 2 and No. 4 - as being "a Christian" and in his claim of "making himself available when others are not." As a "Christian," I wonder how true is that "claim" when during the time when Mahiga Creek dwellers were subjected to "house demolition" by his men and the poor tried to asked him some financial help to defray some necessary expenses in connection with their situation he turned deaf to their pleadings and instead chose to help the beautification drive of a groupin areas earmarked from the Capitol to Colon. Of his claim that he "always make himself available when others are not" - that was a big lie because he ordered the "cutting off" of water connections to Mahiga Creek dwellers who were then temporarily allowed to stay in NRA (North Reclamation Area) No. 27 in his desire to hasten their transfer to a mountain barangay, despite their pleas to wait until after Christmas. And when Tommy O came to their rescue by restoring their water connections through the help of his friends in MCWD at that time, he felt  slighted and drastically ordered for the poor people's immediate transfer to the mountain barangay. And nobody could stop him because he was the Mayor. And whenever fire victims want to go back to their place of dwelling before the fire he would mercilessly turn them down. His heart is not for the poor.

I just hope during the time that he is still the City Mayor, he will undergo a personal transformation that will somehow make him a "true Christian" as he claimed he is, so that the lives of the poor will find a  little improvement.
