This is only a possibility that the elderly victim who just received P3,000 cash aid from Cebu City government could be a victim of foul play and needs a deeper scrutiny into his death as a lighted candle being lighted by the victim before going to bed seems shallow and not convincing enough and is only resorted to by the investigators to do away with the long and tedious work if they are to do it with painstaking efforts to determine the truth of his death. And besides, life of a poor victim is not very important to the investigators handling the case. But considering that he was with a group of persons in a drinking spree before going home to his hut at the dump site could have triggered his death if some of those drinking with him have hatched a plan to divest him of his money and to make it appear that  his death is accidental by setting his hut on fire thereby throwing away whatever evidence there was to pinpoint their crime, if any. But we already know that when a poor man dies, there is lack of necessity to dig deeper into its cause as some  investigators would probably choose the easier way to simply dismiss it as  resulting from his carelessness to put off the candle before going to bed. And  besides, the investigators consider it a waste of their time and effort with no  lofty reward on sight from concerned relatives, if any, because the victims is  poor.
