Kaban ni D_BystandeR: PIGADO SI BISE MAYOR LABELLA SA KASUNGIAN SA KONSEHO SA DAKBAYAN SA SUGBO

I cannot imagine that Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella, who was the former director of the Office of the Ombudsman before he was elected as a public official, can be under the influence of the political ramifications about the insistence of Team Rama to have the SB-1 approved by the city council. And it cannot be denied that the motive behind their insistence is politically motivated considering the several instances in the past where the city council asked the finance officers to join them in their discussion to resolve the impasse about the SB-1 but Mayor Mike strongly prevented his people to submit to such kind of wholesome alternative to find a solution to the problem. And now, here comes VM Labella who wanted the office of the Ombudsman to interfere into this kind of internal squabble inside the city hall which is clearly politically motivated. And it was still fresh in the minds of the city residents as to how Mayor Mike squandered the precious taxpayers money to  buy a fleet of brand new vehicles costing a hundred million pesos to the city coffers just to bribe the loyalty of the mountain barangay captains in order to win their votes in the last election. Activities like this which is possibly intended to take place just to win votes is probably the reason why the council strongly refrained from voting on it. And with the other option presented by the council to solve the impasse that was blocked by Mayor Mike, it would appear that VM Labella's call for the Ombudsman to interfere is practically uncalled for and is ill-advised.
