Kaban ni D_BystandeR: NAGKADAGHAN ANG BAGOLBOL BATOK NI MIKE???

More and more people are joining the ever-increasing group of people we call "informal settlers." This has been the "trade mark" of Mayor Mike Rama's administration where he has shown little sympathy and compassion for the plight of the poor. And we should bear in mind that the poor comprised the majority of our city residents. Taken in contrast to the campaign of Pope Francis who urges national leaders around the world to take care of the poor, this blatant approach of Mayor Mike to prohibit people  from going back to their place to rebuild their dwelling  places every time there is a fire conflagration that takes place in the city is doing no good to the cause of helping the poor. It is surely expected to produce a multiplier-effect to the number of informal settlers that the Rama administration is producing by the hundreds with its undisguised anti-poor policy.

Footnote: City government personnel from PROBE (Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification and Enhancement) has announced that it has already successfully cleared 52 structures, which were built immediately after a fire hit Sitio Warwick Barracks, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City last January 11.
