Kaban ni D_BystandeR: GISAPUPO NI MAYOR MIKE ANG MGA MANINDAHAY SA SUOK SA KADALANAN

This is the only measure authored by Mayor Mike Rama where I put my support and admiration behind him in his desire to help the poor sidewalk vendors make a living. Perhaps, bothered by his conscience about his previous campaign against the informal settlers, now he is trying to make up to redeem his previous "anti-poor" campaigns. The complaint by some, pointing to "pickpockets and snatchers" in the area is not a valid question against that move because poverty tends to create other problems to society and closing Colon to make it a haven for night shoppers at night is not an exception. But helping the poor through this "executive order" is a move in the right direction. The only thing he has to make is to "fine tune" his proposal to find a way to "squeeze through" the DPWH opposition.
