Her name is Imogene Larson, 100 years old. She was born one day after Thanksgiving Day in 1914 (Nov. 28, 1914?) Her daughter named Sandra Sue died at 6, probably in 1947 because she got married in 1941 when she was 27 years old. Roy, her husband was a new teacher in their place when one day she saw him passing by her beauty shop. She had another daughter aside from Sandra Sue. Sherry is her name and she was divorced when she took her mom at 85 to Hongkong and at 90 to Las Vegas. Her husband,  Roy, died in 1997 or 56 years after they got married in 1941.Then at her 100th birthday, they threw a birthday party for her. Then a   man came over to ask her something no one had ever asked her for a long time. "Can I dance with you?""I can hardly walk," she answered. And then she danced. The world has changed for Imogene Larson's century, but Thanksgiving isn't much different. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and pie have survived as long as she has. So has the idea that it's a day to pause and say thank you. As usual she'll say the Thanksgiving prayer, which will come down to this: "Be thankful for what you have." Not everyone has as much as she has been given, but that's the guiding spirit of the day for all of us at any age. "Be thankful for what you have."
