Kaban ni D_BystandeR: TRAHEDYA SA PAMILYA
Tragedy struck late Sunday night, September 16, 2012, in Barangay Canbanua, Argao. Cebu when a man, in a pit of passion, tried to saw the leg of his common law wife Sheila, 37, in the middle of a family fight shortly after coming home late reeking with alcohol. His 11-year old daughter just couldn't stand the grisly sight of her mother being sawed by her father Edmund in the leg after she felt unconscious when struck by a piece of wood while brandishing a knife and a piece of rusty saw maybe in an attempt to terrify her husband. What the daughter did, probably thinking her mother was already dead was to grab a knife and stick it to her father's chest to avenge her mother. This drove her father outside their house shouting for help where he fell 100 meters away mortally wounded. He was brought to a hospital but was declared DOA or "dead on arrival."
Their neighbors were used to their family fight and a lady neighbor said his children would sometimes go to their house to seek help but this time it was different. The neighbor confided that hours before the incident the 11-year old daughter, hidden under a pseudo name "Pearl" to protect her identity being a minor, told her that if her father will hurt her mother again she will not hesitate to "kill" him. When the man arrived late in their house his wife began to quarrel him and ask him of his philandering ways because the man was a known "lover boy" in their place. He used to work as a driver of DENR in their town but lost his job when he was found to have illicit relation with a married co-worker. He has six children in his first wife (his only legal wife) who was his childhood neighbor in his birthplace in another barangay. He has three children with his common law wife Sheila, the eldest girl, 15, the second girl, 11 and the third, 2-month old. Then he found another job working under the town mayor but he did not last long when he was found having "monkey business" with his co-worker's wife. As a matter of fact, the aggrieved husband filed a case against him when he and his co-worker's wife didn't show up for a couple of days.
His aunt confided the guy was really a "ladies' man" meaning, he easily attracts the opposite sex but the only problem with him was that he was "gifted" with a heart that doesn't know how to say "no" to women's advances which ultimately caused his tragic death in the hands of his own daughter.

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCANO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig dayon niyang tapon ngadto sa NAPOCOR ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig. Niadtong tunga-tungang bahin sa tuig 2000, nilalin siya ngadto sa tinipong nasod sa Amerika ug sulod sa napulo (10) ka tuig, nagtrabaho siya sa buhatan sa kagamhanan sa nasod sama sa UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS). Karon sa pangedaron nga 67, gihuptan gihapon niya ang walay pagkutat nga kadasig ug walay busganan nga kaikag sa pagpaambit sa iyang nahuptang abilidad ug kabatid sa panulat. Dili niya mapugngan ang kaugalingon sa pagpaambit sa iyang mga hunahuna labi na kon molambigit kini ug hisgotanan nga makadani sa iyang mga mata.)
