Kaban ni D_BystandeR: WALAY MAAYONG TUMONG NGA PAGPANGGASTO

I always consider reading Super Bob's column as highly informative, straight to the point and fearless. The move initiated by Dr. Gloria Duterte to solicit funds from funeral parlors to renovate the hospital's morgue is ill-advised and devoid of any plausible motive to justify its purpose. If Mike Rama can afford to squander much needed money for some highly important projects in favor of giving brand new vehicles to mountain barangay officials to "corner" much needed votes to get him re-elected, the move is not only ridiculous but downright disgusting to the city taxpayers for how can he justify the move of Dr. Duterte soliciting funds from funeral parlors? 

Instead of allocating some funds for the improvement of the city hospital the city mayor is engaged in a "buying spree" of motor vehicles which is not only a waste of much needed public funds but a possible "sinkhole" where the city's funds would keep pumping money to those vehicles for maintenance and fuel requirements. This is a glaring example of how one's political ambition to cling to power can be so destructive that regardless of whatever outcome, his immediate goal will be how to hold back by whatever means the growing dissatisfaction of the city's electorate who find his governance unmindful of the needs of the poor residents that comprise the majority compared to some segments of rich people whom he gives his preferential attention.
