Kaban ni D_BystandeR: SAMA SA KABAYO

I was dumbfounded to read a Sunstar column written by one Ram Mercado, headlined: "CJ Corona, Man of Trust." This man is like a horse of old used by people in "tartanilyas," where his eyes are covered at the sides and that makes him only capable of seeing objects at the front. In other words, he is a one-sided columnist - in favor of Corona. I don't know if Sunstar editorial board exercises control over their working staffs to see to it that his comments do not veer away from the standard sets of making an opinion. 

This man is daydreaming. He can be excused if he only contributes his comment but he is a columnist and as such he is expected to observe standard fairness and be more knowledgeable on any topic he chooses to write. His flagrant error to willfully side with that midnight CJ Corona is totally unacceptable especially that he cited different positions that Corona occupied under GMA's office starting as Vice President up to becoming a President. And all along, he recalled, the guy "doggedly worked," showing "dependability, trustworthiness and honesty, thereby receiving his reward meritoriously with his appointment as Associate Justice and ultimately as Chief Justice of the SC." 

He did not mention that Corona's appointment was already within the period banned by the Constitution. What comes out as his critical failure to discern and distinguish between right and wrong is his culpable admission at the end of his piece where he put special premium on the importance of being a consistent "boot licker" to GMA and blind subservience to her "wayward" obsession to cling to power at all cost.

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCANO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig.
