Kaban ni D_BystandeR: DILI MAAYONG TILIMAD-ON

Mike Rama's statement highlighting his intention to do something not favorable to the six department heads at city hall at the start of his new term come July 1 bespeaks of a bad omen for a new administration. In the first place, their stand to make a "walkout" from that proposed conference intended for a "loyalty check" only signified their dislike to make them look like "little babies" to be dictated in making their political choice. And they did not even brandish their allegiance to Tommy making it confidential only to themselves. And now here comes Mike carrying his "big stick" to punish this "group of six." If they are doing well in their job as department heads it will be a great disservice to the city if Mike will make good his threat "to punish" them due to his questionable interpretation of how to react after attaining his political victory. Some idealist persons would consider magnanimity as a valid ground for them to exercise restraint in the face of victory. 

But some cheap politicians would be guided by their selfish motives and seem to find relish to screw more the suspected supporters of their defeated political opponents. Mike is free to choose which of the two categories he wants to follow and that will determine what kind of politician he is.
