Kaban ni D_BystandeR: DUWA SA PULITIKA??

I don't know how true it is that the power of the incumbent official sometimes holds the secret of his political success to make a difference in the political arena if he knows how to use it. The recent move of the Rama government in the city hall to release this 2.64M to barangay officials can give the election result analysts a hard time in their guessing game. It has been an acknowledged factor that in modern times he who holds the purse is expected to get a better chance in winning a political race. Take for instance the case in the provincial capitol that we read in the news that Gov. Gwen is also busy acting like the "early Santa Claus" giving monetary giveaways to different sectors in her provincial sorties to the countryside together with her brod PJ Garcia who is running for governor and Boboy Durano for VG. The only sad thing is that Gov. Gwen in her sorties dipped her hands into the funds known as PDAF (Provincial Development Assistance Fund) belonging to Vice Gov. Magpale and some PB members who are now identified in the opposite political camp of the Liberal Party but reasoned out it's not important if she gives it personally in her sorties as long as it is received by the designated recipients. She forgets that in so doing, with her brod PJ and Boboy at her side in giving the "giveaways," she was actually promoting their political candidacies to the constituents. 

Alas, in politics, it is generally considered that he or she who holds the purse has the bigger chance to control the likelihood of winning the political race.
