Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MATINUD-ANON LAMANG SI RECTO

I think Sen. Ralph Recto is just an honest man being "pressed" to a neutral corner and who finally decided to appraise his "thankless job" as head of the senate committee which is entrusted to hatch tax bills for implementation. He knows deep in his heart the difficulties that he encountered while in the process of conducting a thorough study of the "sin tax bill" and after giving up his careful and measured understanding of the different relevant factors involved he finds out the efforts he exerted are not enough. So, what can he do? Being a true-bloodied member of the Liberal Party and being at the crossroad of a delicate point where he has to decide that he does not want to alienate himself from President Noynoy's group, he has no other choice but to resign and give up the chairmanship of that "Ways and Means Committee" to whoever wants to take it. 

Sen. Recto is that kind of guy who is mindful of what history will do later on if it blames him for a more "dreadful scenario" than what the country folks are witnessing as a result of the passage of that law on "added taxation of 12%?" Evat enacted several years ago that saw the prices of everything going up that caused the present hardships of every living Filipinos.
