Like the "old skeleton" in the closet, the Balili case will stick out as a pivotal issue to prevail in the coming election. Not contented with the surprisingly high and questionable amount that it was paid for with government funds, the Balili property will assume an added gargantuan cost when the total expenditure spent for "reclaiming" the submerged portion of the property will be finally considered into the equation. Like persons terrified by their own shadows, operatives
from the Capitol in the person of Provincial Administrator Eduardo Habin, Provincial Legal Counsel Martino Martinquilla and Capitol Consultant Jose Ma. Gastardo rushed to the Balili area probably after having been tipped-off that "cause oriented groups" were making a rally in the area with the presence of Vice Governor Magpale and PB Member Arleigh Sitoy. The group had already left the place when they arrived. Gov. Gwen and her brother PJ were one in denouncing the group for "trespassing and publicity stunt." If the present Capitol administrators have nothing to hide and consider it "above board," why do they react so "nervous and terrified" with the presence of the "cause oriented group" in an area considered "questionable?"

A clearer picture will somehow come out as developments are slowly expected to unfold in due time by the concerned public.
