This roughshod treatment by Mayor Mike Rama of the BOPK is bound to produce incoherent cooperation from them because he is treating them like a bunch of people whose presence can only be utilized for propaganda purposes but in reality he wants to railroad everything through their throats however valid and materially useful the contributed views of the BOPK councilors are.

Councilor Alvin Dizon cannot forget his sad experience in the negotiation of how the problem over the lots identified with 93-1 should be resolved with then Gov. Gwen in 2010 in his capacity as chairman of the housing committee. It was Jose Marie Poblete, the city administrator, who handled the negotiation with Gov. Gwen leaving behind Dizon in the cold as he was sidestepped and ignored. Margot O, budget committee chairperson, left the venue in Casino Espanol before lunch without even touching her plate. She was however honest to what she has earlier promised to listen and she did. A question was raised by Margot in the closed door luncheon meeting asking over what transpired in the visit of neophyte councilor Mary Ann delos Santos to Guba district hospital where the area falls under the jurisdiction of BOPK Councilor Leah Japson as the council's chairperson of health committee. Rama replied he assigned delos Santos to oversee the city's district hospitals. What Alvin Dizon encountered in 2010 could also happen to Leah Japson as Rama is fond of appointing positions to people under his party that overlapped with the city council's to the chagrin and dismay of the one concerned.
