Kaban ni D_BystandeR: BUG-AT UG KASINATIAN SI JPE SA PANERBISYO

The way you give meaning to the phrase "solid reputation" is subjective according to how you connect JPE's past record of public service as a lawmaker and in whatever capacity he was identified with during his younger days. When he signified his willingness to side with FVR, then Chief of Staff during the waning days of martial rule, to go against the will and obsession of FM to cling to power as a ruthless dictator for most of his term in office, he could be classified as a  man with a "solid reputation" because by so doing he has unconditionally placed on  the line his honor and prestige and whatever was left of him as the 2nd in command  to FM. JPE succeeded with the help of the "people power revolution" at EDSA but nobody can honestly deny to disavow any semblance of respect and gratitude for his "change of mind and allegiance" in favor of the people who had long been  deprived of their human rights and suffering from abuses committed during martial law regime. And again, it will be foolhardy to believe that the people is not thankful to JPE for what he has done was considered a major help to regain our freedom  from the bondage of FM's dictatorship. And this particular instance easily points  out to what we call JPE's "solid reputation." And again, when BS Aquino was moving "heaven and earth" to unseat CJ Corona from the SC through impeachment, the role played by JPE to make it happen was something splendid and worthy of our gratitude for without his able stewardship of the Impeachment Court. Corona's impeachment would be next to impossible, although it was later on found out and  discovered that what triggered the great success was the "secret weapon" about the DAP funds being used by BS Aquino to "bribe" the lawmakers' help to vote for a resounding "YES" to finally impeach Corona. In all the major and historic events in our country, JPE's role cannot be simply disregarded because he has put his expertise, honor and dignity on the line to capture with amazing results the needed objective considered very significant for our country's well being. His other record if placed opposite to his good achievements made for the good of our country can never outweigh the good and special points he earned by himself which strongly qualifies him to what the SC now calls a "solid reputation" in granting JPE's temporary liberty from his present case.
