Kaban ni D_BystandeR: PADAYON ANG BOMBARDIYO SA MGA ASUNTO BATOK NI BINAY???
You seem to highlight Binay's failure
to appear in BRSC hearing and based your opinion largely upon it to condemn him
for such acts. Lawyers have what they call "legal strategy" and if
you only view independently how the BRSC conducted its more than a year of "demolition
job" against Binay, you will surely admit that Binay is absolutely right
for not falling into the trap of glorifying the "smooth operators"
behind BRSC for Binay will have surely committed a fatal mistake if he
attempted to appear in that inquiry. Don't you know that people coming to that inquiry as resource
persons to answer some false allegations hurled against Binay were not only
insulted but they were evidently not allowed to finish their line as they were
cut-off from making complete explanation because the operators were afraid that
allegations could be proven false and that will only boomerang to Binay's political enemies as accusers? And these operators,
although they are senators, but they lost their courtesy when interposing
questions to people friendly to Binay and they made the resource person look
like crazy in front of the public by asking pointed and foolish questions. And the AMLC, instead of doing their job
as outlined by the original lawmakers crafting the AMLC into law that it should
be in the lookout for money laundering activities against terrorists, drug
syndicates, smugglers, etc., it is now used by BS Aquino to unfairly dig up the
financial records of the opposition personalities and instead of asking account
holders to explain first some discrepancy as they are more knowledgeable to
explain it, the AMLC findings were immediately fed to some media outlets
thereby allowing them to make various sarcastic and derogatory interpretations
that would not have occurred if they only used the principle of fairness and
justice to follow the law.
It it quite satirical to put the
blame of Binay for the emergence of the 5 percent informal settlers in Makati
when all over the Philippines and not just in Makati poor homeless people we
now call informal settlers are a growing evidence of how BS Aquino sadly failed
to improve the lives of the majority of
our poor population in the country today. But Aquino is quick to point out that
our economy has increased by "leaps and bounds" but only the rich has
benefited his so-called economic "gains" but the poor is getting
poorer.
